No Balloons...

...but it's still my birthday!!!!

I'm a bad style blogger, because I know it's a must to take birthday pictures with a handful of balloons!  I just couldn't muster the effort to get any.  I'm getting old, cut me some slack. *smirky smile* 

As for the outfit, I decided to take it back to the old school.  I was born in the late 70's (sounds old, I know), and I figured what I have on is exactly what someone would be wearing at that time.  I love love love these retro-halters that are the rage right now, and these high-waisted, linen (made to look denim/hence the wrinkles) shorts are the perfect match.  Lastly, threw some platform shoes to finish off the modern 70's vibe.

So, I'm another year older...maybe a teensy bit wiser and the only advice I can give is....LIVE LIFE!!

Birthday Behavior

Guess who has a birthday today???

Since I'm posting an outfit on my blog today, my birthday, I thought I'd go out on a bit of a limb.  For me, that is wearing a pair of short-shorts!  You know, by today's standards, these shorts probably aren't that short.  For me they really are.  First of all, I hardly ever wear shorts and when I do, they are usually denim with about a 3-inch inseam.  I don't know exactly when I became so conservative.  Natural progression maybe?  Part of getting older?

Either way, I am a fairly firm believer in "if you got it (and it still looks good), flaunt it".  Perhaps I should apply this to myself more often.

Oh, and since it's my birfday.  It's only right I leave you all with a little birthday "jig".

I've been having a lot of fun with the GIFs lately. I can't help myself.
